23-Year-Old Richard A. Williams, Known as “Rīčh Kütż,” Dies After Hit-and-Run Incident
A community is mourning the tragic loss of Richard A. Williams, a 23-year-old man popularly known as “Rīčh Kütż,” who died after being struck by a vehicle in an apparent hit-and-run incident. Family members and friends have taken to social media to share their grief and call for justice.
According to posts shared by relatives, Williams was walking along Russell Street when he was hit by a vehicle late at night. The driver reportedly fled the scene without stopping to render aid. Loved ones say the young man suffered critical injuries and later succumbed to them.
Friends described Williams as a supportive and loyal person who maintained strong relationships even after graduating from school. One friend recalled their long friendship that began in the seventh grade and continued through graduation, saying Williams always supported his music and kept in touch over the years.
Family members are now pleading with the public to help identify the driver responsible for the crash. A relative said anyone who may have seen the incident or has Ring camera footage from the area is urged to come forward with information that could help investigators.
Williams’ mother shared a heartfelt tribute online, expressing her heartbreak and remembering her son with love. She wrote that her “baby” would always remain in her heart, marking his life with the dates July 3, 2002 – March 5, 2026.
As the community grieves the loss of the young man, many are hoping authorities will quickly identify the driver involved so the family can receive justice.
