Coroner Identifies Man Killed in Head-On Crash in Kershaw County

A man was killed Wednesday following a head-on collision in Kershaw County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The driver of the Civic died at the scene. Kershaw County Coroner David West later identified the victim as 66-year-old Donald Truesdale.

The crash occurred on Old Stagecoach Road near the intersection of Timber Creek Road. Troopers said a 2010 Honda Civic traveling south collided with a 2011 Honda Accord heading north.

The driver of the Accord was transported to a hospital. Authorities have not released further details regarding that individual’s condition.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
