A 41-year-old courier has died following a fall near his home in Siparia on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Malcolm Williams, an employee of Massy Stores.
Incident Details
According to reports, the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when Williams went to the back of his home to pick coconuts.
Shortly afterward, a relative heard someone calling out and went to investigate. Williams was found approximately 30 feet away from a coconut tree, down a precipice, with visible injuries and unresponsive.
Emergency Response
Emergency Health Services were contacted, and Williams was transported to the Siparia District Health Facility, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Investigation Ongoing
Responding officers observed injuries consistent with a fall, including trauma to the shoulder and multiple scratches across the body.
Crime scene investigators processed the area, and Williams’ body was later transferred to the San Fernando Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Authorities say investigations into the incident are ongoing.
