In Loving Memory of Rachel Choi: Community Mourns

The community of Port Elgin is mourning the sudden and unexpected death of Rachel Choi, a respected massage therapist known for her compassion, professionalism, and dedication to patient care.

In a heartfelt statement, Bruce County Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Center confirmed the loss of their colleague, describing Rachel as an “incredible massage therapist” whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on both patients and staff.

“Rachel brought warmth, kindness, and an amazing level of care to everyone she met,” the clinic shared. “Her positive spirit and dedication made a difference in so many lives.”

To honor her memory, the clinic announced it would close on Monday, March 23, allowing staff time to attend her funeral and reflect on her life.

Rachel Choi began her journey in healthcare after graduating from Centennial College in 2018 with an Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy. During her training, she gained experience working with a wide range of clients, which helped shape her patient-centered approach to rehabilitation and wellness.

She went on to build a successful practice in Toronto, where she spent several years specializing in deep tissue and myofascial trigger point therapies. Her expertise, combined with genuine empathy, earned her strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.

More recently, Rachel relocated to Port Elgin, where she embraced a quieter lifestyle and the natural beauty of the area. She enjoyed outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and spending time with her dog, while continuing to expand her professional knowledge through advanced training.

Colleagues remember her not only for her skill but also for her uplifting personality and the sense of comfort she brought to those around her. Her passing has left a deep void within the clinic and the wider community.

Details regarding memorial services are expected to be announced in the coming days as family, friends, and colleagues come together to honor her life and legacy.
