In Loving Memory of Splush WB, Homicide Investigation On-going

A homicide investigation is currently underway in Richmond following a deadly shooting in the Gilpin Court neighborhood.

According to the Richmond Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting around 9:41 p.m. in the 1200 block of St. Peter Street. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries.

While authorities have not officially confirmed the victim’s identity, social media posts suggest the individual may be known as “Splushwb,” a local artist. Police have not verified this information.

The incident has drawn strong reactions from the community, with many expressing grief and concern over ongoing violence. Some residents are also calling for peace and urging young people to avoid street violence and focus on safer, more positive paths.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
