The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early this morning in north Okaloosa County. The victim has since been identified and was popularly known as “Goodfella Jthree.”
Authorities say a motorist contacted 9-1-1 shortly before 6:00 a.m. after spotting a man lying in the roadway on Taylor Road, off Lake Silver Road, north of Crestview. Deputies responded to the scene and discovered a 20-year-old man from Mary Esther deceased. Shell casings were found near the victim’s body, and investigators carefully processed the area for evidence.
Law enforcement officials temporarily closed the roadway in the immediate area while investigators worked the scene. Officials indicated that additional details will be released as the investigation progresses.
