Two Brothers Killed at After-Prom Party in Mississippi; One Victim Identified as Bigred “Big Red” McNeal

Authorities are investigating a tragic shooting that claimed the lives of two brothers following an after-prom party in Tippah County early Sunday morning.

According to Chief Investigator Chris McAllister, deputies responded to a residence along County Road 825 near County Road 823 around 1:00 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.

When officers arrived, they discovered both victims unresponsive in the yard of the home. One brother was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

One of the victims has been identified by family and community members as Bigred McNeal, also known as “Big Red.” The identity of the second victim has not yet been officially released.

Authorities have not provided additional details regarding what led to the shooting, and the case remains under active investigation.
