Two Killed in Shooting at Cameron Crossing Apartments in LaGrange; One Victim Identified as Jakhala Marshay

Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that left two people dead at an apartment complex in LaGrange on Monday afternoon.

According to officials, the incident occurred at the Cameron Crossing Apartments, located along Meadow Terrace off Mooty Bridge Road. Law enforcement officers and emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene following reports of gunfire.

Erin Hackley of the Troup County Coroner’s Office confirmed that two individuals were pronounced dead as a result of the incident.

One of the victims has been identified as Jakhala Marshay, a female. The identity of the second victim has not yet been released.

At this time, authorities have not provided additional details regarding the circumstances of the shooting, and it remains unclear whether any suspects have been taken into custody.
