Authorities in Dallas are investigating a fatal shooting that left two men dead late Monday night.
According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 12100 block of Audelia Road on March 16, 2026, at approximately 9:47 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two men who had both sustained gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders from Dallas Fire-Rescue Department also arrived and assessed the victims. Unfortunately, both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the victims has been identified as 21-year-old Mardreus Ward. Authorities said the identity of the second victim had not yet been confirmed at the time of the report, pending further investigation and notification of next of kin.
Police have not yet released details regarding what may have led to the shooting or whether any suspects have been identified. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and speak with potential witnesses as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The case is currently being handled under investigation number 036948-2026.
