26-Year-Old Toye Kyle Jackson Dies After Motorcycle Crash in Leeds
A 26-year-old man from Odenville has died following a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon in Leeds, authorities confirmed.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Toye Kyle Jackson, 26.
According to officials, Jackson was operating a motorcycle that was involved in a collision with a motor vehicle. Preliminary reports indicate the crash occurred at approximately 4:25 p.m. Thursday in the 7200 block of Elliot Lane in Leeds.
Authorities said Jackson was the only rider on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported Jackson to UAB Hospital with serious injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts by medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at 5:22 p.m.
Officials have not yet released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the condition of the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision.
The Leeds Police Department is currently investigating the cause of the crash as authorities work to determine what led up to the fatal incident.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing, and further information may be released as it becomes available.
