22-Year-Old Man Found Shot Dead at Apartment Complex in Lafayette
Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting after a man was found dead in the parking lot of an apartment complex early Wednesday morning in Lafayette.
The victim has been identified as Irving Lumpkin III, 22, of Franklin.
Incident Details
According to the Lafayette Police Department, officers responded to a call around 6:30 a.m. on March 25 at the Grand Pointe Apartments located on Kaliste Saloom Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Lumpkin in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Ongoing
Detectives have launched an investigation into the shooting. At this time, authorities have not released information regarding a suspect or what may have led to the incident.
