Four Young Adults Killed in Tragic Crash Near Tiffin, Ohio

A devastating single-vehicle crash near Tiffin, Ohio, has claimed the lives of four young adults, leaving the community in mourning.

Authorities identified the victims as 19-year-old Hermoiney Greenler of Bucyrus, 21-year-old Madison Yates of Tiffin, 22-year-old Jonathan Bowling of Tiffin, and 22-year-old Alexzandria Hickle of Tiffin.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, along State Route 18 near County Road 48 in Seneca County. Investigators say the pickup truck was traveling eastbound when the driver, Greenler, lost control of the vehicle.

The truck veered off the roadway, struck a tree with significant force, and came to rest partially submerged in a nearby pond. The impact proved fatal for Greenler, Yates, and Bowling, who were pronounced dead at the scene.

Hickle, the fourth passenger, was transported to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital in critical condition but later died from her injuries despite medical efforts.

Officials noted that Hickle was the only occupant wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, underscoring the unpredictable and severe nature of the incident.

The tragedy has deeply affected the Tiffin and Bucyrus communities, as family members and friends mourn the sudden loss of four young lives.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash to determine what factors may have contributed to the driver losing control. Authorities are urging drivers to remain cautious, especially during nighttime travel, and to always prioritize road safety.

Officials have extended their condolences to the victims’ families as the investigation remains ongoing.
