Police are continuing to investigate a late-night shooting that left two men dead and a woman injured in Durham.
According to the Durham Police Department, officers responded shortly before midnight Friday to reports of gunfire in the 3500 block of North Roxboro Street near an apartment complex.
When officers arrived, they discovered three people inside a vehicle who had been shot. Two men were pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman was found alive and transported to a hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Members of the community have identified the two victims as OBN Gutsy and Rich Target, both known figures in Durham’s local rap scene. OBN Gutsy was widely recognized in the Braggtown area, where he lived and built a following through his music.
Investigators secured the area while gathering evidence and speaking with potential witnesses as they worked to determine what led to the shooting.
At this time, police say the circumstances surrounding the double homicide remain unclear, and no suspect information has been publicly released.
