14-Year-Old Tay Dies After Shooting in Wilson; Investigation Ongoing
A tragic shooting in Wilson has left a 14-year-old boy dead, with authorities continuing their investigation.
According to the Wilson Police Department, officers responded around 8:42 p.m. to a home in the 1300 block of Woodside Drive, where they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound inside the residence.
The victim, now identified as Tay, was airlifted to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville for emergency treatment. Despite efforts by medical staff, he later died from his injuries.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and officials have not released additional details about what led to the shooting.
