  • Two Men Charged in Fatal Shooting of St. Louis Business Owner Ronald Milton

According to investigators, the shooting occurred on April 19, 2026, around 6:26 p.m. in the parking lot located in the 10900 block of New Halls Ferry Road. Officers with the Ferguson Police Department responded to reports of gunfire and found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Ronald Milton, 41, was rushed to a local hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries. Two adult women who were also struck by gunfire survived with non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment at a nearby medical facility.

Witnesses told investigators that three masked men dressed in black drove through the area before one suspect reportedly exited the vehicle and opened fire using what authorities described as an assault-style rifle. Surveillance footage later captured the suspect vehicle leaving the scene.

Approximately 20 minutes later, police in Illinois discovered the suspected getaway vehicle engulfed in flames. Additional surveillance footage reportedly showed three men fleeing the burning vehicle while wearing clothing similar to that described by witnesses. Investigators also linked the suspects to nearby gas station surveillance footage recorded shortly after the shooting.

Ronald Milton was widely known throughout the community for his food truck business and his popular barbecue served near Halls Ferry Road and Interstate 270. Friends, customers, and loved ones remember him as a hardworking businessman with a welcoming personality who positively impacted many people in the area.

The case remains under investigation as authorities continue working to determine whether additional suspects may have been involved.
