Jim Copenhaver, who was seriously wounded during the July 13, 2024 shooting at a Donald Trump campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, has died at the age of 76.

Copenhaver was one of two rally attendees who were wounded when gunfire erupted at the event. He survived the shooting but continued to deal with serious injuries afterward.

His death was confirmed Thursday, September 24, 2026, with House Republicans expressing condolences to his family and loved ones.
