One of the two women found dead inside a Wells Branch-area apartment has been identified as Kalil Maalik, popularly known as Neci.

The two women were discovered Wednesday morning inside an apartment in the 3400 block of Shoreline Drive after a property manager entered the unit and found them unresponsive.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths as a suspected murder-suicide. Investigators said preliminary evidence points in that direction, but the investigation remains in its early stages.

Authorities said they do not currently believe a third party was involved, and there is no known threat to the public.

Details about the circumstances of the deaths and the identity of the second woman have not been released.
