Two Young Women Identified After Fatal Crash in Shively
A tragic early morning crash in Shively has claimed the lives of two young women, leaving family members, friends, and the local community mourning the devastating loss.
According to authorities, officers with the Shively Police Department responded around 6:20 a.m. Sunday to the 3400 block of 7th Street Road following reports of a serious crash involving injuries.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they discovered two women in their early 20s who were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims have since been identified as Reeree Kennedy, also known as “ReeFrm DaThree,” and Brianah Lindsey.
Investigators say the cause of the crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine what led to the deadly incident.
Shortly before the crash occurred, a separate shooting incident was reported nearby in the 1700 block of Berry Boulevard. However, police stated they do not currently believe the two incidents are connected. Authorities noted there were no obvious signs of gunshot wounds on either victim, though final determinations will be made following autopsy examinations.
The roadway remained closed for several hours as investigators processed the scene and gathered evidence before eventually reopening to traffic.
News of the tragedy quickly spread across social media, where loved ones shared emotional tributes, memories, and condolences for both young women. Friends described Reeree and Brianah as deeply loved individuals whose lives were taken far too soon.
