Heartbreaking tragedy in Martin County, Florida 💔

18-year-old South Fork High School senior Christopher Brooks lost his life Thursday morning in a devastating crash involving a dump truck while on his way to graduation practice.

According to officials, the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near South Fork High School at Pratt Whitney Road and Southwest Bulldog Way. Sheriff John Budensiek said Brooks reportedly drove into the back of a stopped dump truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

What makes this even more painful is that Christopher was supposed to graduate later that same evening.

Friends, classmates, teachers, and family are now mourning a young life gone far too soon. Counselors and support staff have been made available for students and loved ones affected by the tragedy.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
