ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — St. Louis County police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that left one person dead and three others with life-threatening injuries early Sunday morning.

The crash happened at approximately 2:25 a.m. on September 13 near Chambers Road and Jacobi Avenue. Officers responding to the scene found that two vehicles had been involved in the collision.

According to police, an adult man driving one of the vehicles suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other vehicle was carrying three people. The driver and two passengers were seriously injured and transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The deceased person has not been officially identified by police. However, family and loved ones have identified 25-year-old Demetria Lashay Jeffery, affectionately known as “Mimi,” in connection with the crash.

Authorities have not yet released details about what caused the collision. Detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and Accident Reconstruction are continuing to investigate.

The investigation remains active, and police said additional information may be released as it becomes available.
