Four people are now in custody in connection with the assault of 63-year-old Lance Jeffries following a minor accident on Jennings Station Road in North County, St. Louis, on Saturday, September 19.

According to Jeffries’ family, two males and two females who were seen in video footage of the incident have been taken into custody.

The family says the update came directly from the detective assigned to the investigation.

Authorities are reportedly still searching for one additional person believed to have been involved in the assault.

The investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the attack.
