Two people have lost their lives following a devastating head-on crash in Grimes County, Texas, on Monday morning.

According to the Montgomery County Police Reporter, first responders were called around 7:30 a.m. to FM 2620, just north of SH 30.

Katie Belinda, 41, of Bedias, was driving a Nissan Armada with three boys, ages 9, 11 and 14, when her vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes and was struck head-on by a Chevrolet pickup driven by Gilbert Urbano Jr., 49, of San Antonio.

Both Katie Belinda and Gilbert Urbano Jr. were pronounced deceased at the scene.

A passenger in Urbano’s vehicle was transported to Scott & White and later flown to Memorial Hermann in Houston with critical injuries. The three boys were also flown to Memorial Hermann with critical injuries.
