A 35-year-old Brooklyn man has died after being ejected from a dirt bike and then struck by a car in Bed-Stuy, according to authorities.

The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday near Malcolm X Boulevard and Macon Street.

Investigators determined that the man was traveling northbound on Malcolm X Boulevard on a 2017 Kawasaki dirt bike while a 2016 Mercedes-Benz was traveling in the same direction.

According to the collision investigation squad, the dirt bike rider hit a dip in the roadway, causing him to be thrown from the motorcycle onto the road. He was then struck by the Mercedes.

The injured rider was transported to Kings County Hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.

Authorities identified the victim as 35-year-old Detwan Hannah of Brooklyn.

The Mercedes driver remained at the scene and was taken into custody. He was identified as 28-year-old Keon Davis of Georgia.

Davis is facing charges including criminally negligent homicide, aggravated unlicensed operation and unlicensed operation.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
