A woman identified as Gail has died after being found unresponsive with apparent signs of physical trauma inside an assisted living facility in Jennings, Missouri, early Sunday morning.

Police responded shortly after 5:15 a.m. to the 9600 block of Halls Ferry Road after receiving a report involving an unresponsive woman. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Authorities said another resident of the facility was taken into custody. Police indicated that both the victim and the detained resident lived at the facility and knew each other.

The victim has not been officially identified by police, but she has been identified by loved ones as Gail.
