A juvenile teenage girl was seriously injured after a shooting in Chesapeake, Virginia, on Wednesday, September 23.

Police responded to the 1600 block of Summerall Lane around 4:27 p.m. following a dispute outside a housing unit. Shots were fired, striking the teenage girl, who was transported to a local hospital.

Chesapeake Police are searching for two male suspects who reportedly fled the scene on foot. One suspect is described as a light-skinned Black male, while the second is described as a Black male. No further description was available for the second suspect.

A shelter-in-place notification was issued for surrounding residents as officers searched the area.

The investigation remains ongoing.
