A 28-year-old Rochester man has died after being stabbed inside a home on Roth Street Monday night.

According to Rochester Police, officers responded around 8:30 p.m. to a report of an unresponsive person inside the home. Emergency personnel found Dynell Babers-White suffering from at least one stab wound to the upper body.

He was transported to the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

The victim has been identified as Ricky Dynell Jamar.

Police say the stabbing appears to have been an isolated incident. Detectives are still working to determine what led up to the attack, and no suspects were in custody as of the latest report.

RPD’s Major Crimes Homicide Unit is asking anyone with information or video to come forward.
